We-Go 2019 Fall Team tournament

Welcome all the new and existing players  to the First We-Go Team tournament. 

Time:  November 17th. 9:00 am - 6:00 pm

Location: 250 Consumers Rd #901,North York, ON M2J 4V6

Tournament Format:

1. Team Tournament , 3 rounds in total. Each team will have 3 players, assigned to board 1, 2 and 3. In a round, the team that wins 2 out of  3 boards win the round.

2. Each team can only have a sum of up to 11 dan in total.

Ex.7d+3d+1d / 5d+5d+1d / 6d+4d+1d/ 7d+2d+2d/ 5d+3d+1k. All the team must put the strongest player on the first board, then second strongest on the second,  Tian Ji horse racing strategy is not permitted. And all the kyu level players count as 1d when you try to sum your team’s rank.

3. Board 1 and board 2 will play even game, handicap is allowed if necessary on the 3rd board. (Handicap applies when Dan level players vs Kyu level players)

Time Setting:  1 hour Set and Death

Tournament Rule: 

1. AGA rules will be applied, 7.5 points Komi

2. Handicap rule: Only applies for board 3 game and No handicap games between dan players. When using handicaps, all dan level players will be counted as 1d, and the handicap chart is shown below:

Registration:

1. Anyone can join the tournament, please register your team in both CGA site and the google form as soon as possible, the maximum team we accept is 12, the registration will be closed when we get enough teams.

2. Registration fee: $ 120  per team

3. All the players must register as a team with their team name, players name, rank and email address. Single player’s registration will not be accepted, if you can’t find a team, contact us through [email protected] or  [email protected] or our facebook page, we will help you out.
