Welcome to the 2024 Halifax Go Open! We will be hosting a Live Go Open Tournament in Halifax for Go lovers of all ages. This year marks the third edition of the open hosted by Halifax, which has become a feast for Go enthusiasts in the maritime province. Welcome more enthusiasts to join! Hope you can come to the beautiful city of Halifax and experience the fun of Go!

This Halifax Open is a non-profit Go event. All registration fees and Donations we receive will be used for Go tournaments. Sincerely thank you all for your support of our Go tournament!

This Open has multiple groups based on the number of applicants and Rank, and each group has Cash prizes, medals and prizes. The award distribution plan will be announced after the registration fees and Donations are in place, so stay tuned!

Early Bird (Before and on May 10, 2024): $45/ adult player, $35/ kid player(16 and under)

Regular fee (May 11 to May 25, 2024): $50/player

Note：Registration is confirmed upon receipt of the registration fee.

Tournament Format:

- 1-Days

- 5-game tournament 

Prize:

Medals, Cash and Prizes, Certificate of Participation. 

There will be 8 Cash Prizes waiting for you! Championship Prize will be awarded $200!

Tournament Rules:

MacMahon Method;

AGA Rule, 19x19 board, Komi 7.5;

40 minutes main time, byo-yomi of 5 minutes for 20 stones.

The referee team has the final authority.
